DIY Sore Muscle Soak
After a long day, there's nothing more that I look forward to than a long soak. I'm always looking for something that will help my sore muscles and tension.
I always use a blend of Epsom salts and baking soda because they work well to draw out toxins and inflammation from the body. Both have been used in bath soaks for many years to effectively help relieve the body of tension.
Eucalyptus essential oil is also wonderful for easing tension and inflammation in the body. It has a cooling effect which does wonders for sore muscles.
It's important to use Eucalyptus in low dilutions, especially when taking a bath as it can cause your skin to tingle. That's a great thing when it's just a little tingle but a not-so-great thing when it's a lot of tingle!
Plus, Eucalyptus has a very strong aroma so using too much can be quite overpowering.
This blend has just three drops of Eucalyptus essential oil, but trust me, you'll know it's there!
