Description: Cardamon is a perennial plant which is native to India. It loves the moist environment of the forest where it grows up to about 4 meters tall. It is cultivated in India for essential oil production. It is characterized with fleshy underground roots like ginger, long silky leaves like blades and yields yellowish flowers with a purple tip.

History: Used in traditional Chinese and Indian medicine for over 3000 years for fever, digestive, and pulmonary disease and as a spice all over the world.
Use Safely: Generally safe to use. Simply follow instructions to dilute. The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy.
