Plant Description: A herbaceous perennial plant that is part of the Lamiaceae family, which was indigenous to Europe and the Middle East; however, it is now grown worldwide. Peppermint grows to be 30-90cm tall with smooth stems, square in cross section; leaves are dark green with reddish veins, and produces small purple flowers.
