Plant Description: The Balsam Fir tree is a member of the Pinaceae family and is the most common Christmas tree chosen. The trees are symmetrical in shape and the cones appear upright on their branches. Additionally, Balsam Fir needles are about 3/4 to 1-1/4 inches long with two white stripes running down the underside of each needle.
