With the safety of your home in mind, we’re meticulous about every step of our process. To make sure each plant reaches its potential, we carefully and ethically choose a region where it will thrive. Then we work with our farmers. When our plants have reached maturity, they are harvested safely and fairly. From there we collect their natural essential oils through either cold-pressing or steam-distillation. Every batch is then tested to ensure 100% purity.

Lavender (Bulgaria)

One of the most well-known and commonly used essential oils in aromatherapy, Lavender (Bulgaria) boasts a wide array of benefits including promoting healthier skin and hair, supporting the immune system, and aiding in sleep.

Bergamot

Bergamot was named after a town in Italy--Bergamo--where Bergamot oil was first marketed. This citrus oil was most commonly used in Italian folk medicine for fevers and other medicinal purposes for many years.

  • Plant Part: Fruit Peel
  • Plant Description: Bergamot (evergreen) belongs to the Rutaceae Family, native to the Canary Islands. The tree may grow from 2 - 10 m. tall.  Bergamot doesn't grow in the wild, but instead is cultivated. The long branches are covered with spines. The tree yields small pear-shaped fruit which are not edible but are useful for the oil extracted from the peel/rind.

  • More Safety Info: This oil is phototoxic. Avoid spending time in direct sunlight or a tanning bed after using this oil topically. This oil may be used at 1-2 drops per ounce of carrier oil (0.4%) without being phototoxic.

  • Aroma: Sharp, penetrating scent based on its high menthol content, minty sweet

Frankincense

Frankincense has been used throughout history, with its most notable appearances in the Bible and in ancient Egyptian history. Historically, Frankincense was used by ancient Egyptians for incense, treating wounds, and easing arthritis. In more recent times, Frankincense has been used in soaps, perfumes, and even in some pharmaceutical products.

  • Botanical Name: Boswellia serrata
  • Origin: India
  • Extraction Method: Steam Distillation
  • Plant Part: Resin
  • Plant Description: Its wax (used for the oil) can be obtained from the Boswellia tree, which is native to India. The Boswellia serrata tree grows in the Punjab region of India as well as in regions of Pakistan. The small, thin trees are stripped of their bark to yield a sticky resin from which the essential oil is extracted.
  • Aroma: Warm and spicy, woody and resonating, milder than Frankincense from Somalia
