Menthol Shower Steamers With Essential Oils

A certified aromatherapist, mom, and friend.  I’m here once again to show you something that will definitely awaken your senses even in a… or most especially when the sky is gloomy and your bed seems to be tucking you tight.  Com’on… Don’t we all have those mornings? I do! Because hey! It’s the fall season.  But that definitely is not an excuse!  Because… Well, we have things to do!  

So, rise and shine and… Let’s go! 

Let me show you this no-fail, certified, refreshing, and energizing MENTHOL Shower Steamer!!! Below is a video of how to make this amazing recipe. 

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • 2 Tbsp coconut oil (solid)
  • 1 tsp menthol crystals
  • 5 drops Fir Needle Essential Oil
  • 5 drops Eucalyptus Essential Oil
  • ½ cup baking soda*
  • Mold (like an ice tray or cupcake tin)*

How To Make It

1. In a double boiler (or microwave using short intervals), melt the solid coconut oil.

2. Remove from heat, add menthol crystals, and stir to melt.

3. Add essential oils and stir to mix.

4. Add baking soda and stir thoroughly until the mixture has a dough-like consistency.

5. Press contents into a mold and allow the ingredients to totally dry out (~24 hours). About 1 Tbsp per cavity works well, but you can add more or less according to your preference.

6. To use, remove from mold and place in the bottom of the shower. As you shower, the hot water will help the oil diffuse into the air to help support easy breathing.
