Make Your Own Face Cream and Give Your Skin Exactly What It Needs

  • 4 oz Aloe Vera
  • 3/8 oz Emulsifying Wax
  • 2 Tbsp Almond Oil
  • 2 Tbsp Coconut Oil (solid)
  • 5 drops Beauty Within Essential Oil Blend
  • 4 oz Amber Glass Jar
  • Blender
  • Double Boiler or Microwave

Instructions

  1. Combine the emulsifying wax, coconut oil (solid), and almond oil in a microwave safe bowl or a double boiler. 

  2. Microwave the mixture using 10 second increments or in a double boiler until it’s completely melted and reaches ~145 degrees.

  3. Add your mixture to a blender.

  4. Heat the aloe vera in a double boilder or in the microwave in 10 second intervals to the same temperature (~145 degrees). Add the essential oils to the aloe vera. Getting both mixtures to 145 degrees will ensure that the mixture will emulsify correctly. 

  5. Turn on the blender and start blending your emulsifying wax/coconut oil/almond oil mixture. Slowly add aloe vera/essential oil mixture to the blender as it whips. The mixture will transform from a thick oil to a light, fluffy lotion while it blends.

  6. Store in a small airtight container. Simply Earth's 4oz amber glass jar with lid is perfect!
