Sweet Basil (Ocimum basilicum) essential oil has been widely used over the years. It's fresh, sweet, and somewhat spicy scent make it the ideal oil to use in many warming blends.

Sweet Basil has many different chemotypes because it is found in countries all over the word such as India, Africa, America, Brazil and even Indonesia. Each different chemotype will have its own unique, yet similar, scent as well as uses and cautions.
